Picnic in the Park...not a walk in the park!

Today the weather was fantastic and we decided to have a picnic in the park (along with everyone else in the whole world). Not really as relaxing as it sounds with a Vizsla puppy who forgot he ever learned a single recall today. Selective hearing was the order of the day as he pinched first some gammon off my plate then further afield for a piece of cake from the people next to us, then he went for a wander out of the park looking for Steven who'd just popped to the loo in the pub. And later got his chops around some blue cheese and chicken. However, we did make lots of new friends and bumped into some old ones too.

This is Bailey Hamish's first and best friend from London Fields (apart from Radio of course). Bailey is a pup too so they really have a good old roll around together and can play quite rough without anyone worrying. Aparently Bailey goes to his front door and whines if anyone mentions Hamish's name.

Then a lovely girl called Tenesha came over to say hello to Hamish and she really, really loved him and she's going to add him to her list of favourite breeds of dogs. I told her to catch up with him on this blog so I hope she's reading this - Hi Tenesha I hope you like your photo with Hamish.

Who wants to do silly recals when there is food about. Good job Hamish I say. Selective hearing is very useful - you are getting to the age where you can blame it on the "teenage stage" and everyone forgives you. Doesn't last long mind as they start insisting on recalls - not too bad when you get sausage. Looks like you had a great time with your friend.

Mum was working too - your day sounds much more fun. Particularly the stealing food bit. I'm quite partial to ice cream. Since my tummy upset I've been into EVERYTHING.
